Nick Weiss

Areas of Practice: State and Local Tax Litigation

Narrative: Nick has a deep background of experiences that allow him to be an effective advocate.  His practice focuses primarily on sales and use, property, and corporate taxes.  Nick has worked on projects involving various business areas such as the financial, food production, telecommunications, insurance, technology, construction, and healthcare industries.  He has similarly conducted research into the application of state tax laws to emerging technologies such as cloud-computing and streaming services.

Nick is a 2017 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law, where he served as the Managing Editor of Student Work for the Penn State Journal of Law and International Affairs.  During his time in law school, Nick was honored with induction into the Woolsack Society, an honor society that recognizes law school students whose academic accomplishments placed them in the top fifteen percent of their class at the end of five semesters.  While in law school, Nick was also an extern for the Honorable Susan E. Schwab at the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.  Nick was also a summer clerk for the Honorable Victor P. Stabile on the Pennsylvania Superior Court.  These experiences give Nick invaluable insight into the judicial decision-making process and the mechanics of effective advocacy.

Before law school, Nick graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in economics.
